Where is the best on-line Poker site?

Posted by stanton7771 at: 2008-03-17 12:39:42
I don't want a full sales pitch here, but which Poker sites are trustworthy (I heard there was a cheating scandal somewhere?) and worth trying? Which ones are to be avoided at all costs? Actual experiences would be appreciated. Also, I am a US player if that is relevant (is it?). Thanks.

Absolute Poker is where the scandal happened - luckily I never played there. I have however played on Full Tilt and Bodog for years and never had any problems.

My top three are http://FullTiltPoker.com http://UltimateBet.com http://DoylesRoom.com Use the bonus code RIVER88 at all three for their best bonus package. They all have something unique to offer so try each out and see which one meets your needs best.

I play at pokerstars and full tilt for real money. In the past, I have played at Absolute Poker and Bodog. As primarily a Sit n' Go player, it doesn't get better than Pokerstars.com. They have some of the easiest action and best games. Full Tilt is a close second though. As far as Tournaments go, Pokerstars is the best with 5-8 tournaments starting every hour from $1 up to $1050 buy ins. The coolest part of Pokerstars and the thing that makes it stand out for me is the fact that they have Tournaments of all the games, not just Hold 'em. I love playing small stakes Stud tourneys especially, as the skill level is just plain awful. Again, Full Tilt is a close second. The software is about the same for Pokerstars and Full Tilt, with Full Tilt having a more cartoony interface. I prefer Pokerstars for it's simplicity. Both sites, however, are far superior to any other site I've used. As an American player, that really only limits you from using PartyPoker. The other sites that forbid Americans aren't worth playing anyways. In conclusion, Pokerstars is my favorite, but I like to play on multiple sites for the varying degrees of skill levels and different types of players. Good luck and I hope I have been helpful.

As others have said, play at Full Tilt or PokerStars. They are both pretty similar in game options, but PokerStars has much more traffic than any other site. There's a list of reviews at http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews.htm where you'll find a list of today's top sites serving US residents. You'll find bonus info (and bonus codes) for each site's best bonus and a comprehensive review of gambling options to see which suits you best. The good thing is, just about all of the major sites (Full Tilt, PokerStars, Doyle's Room, UB, AP) all accept ePassporte, which is an eWallet that makes it easy to deposit and withdraw to poker sites. If you find you don't like one site, you can simply withdraw your funds and try another instantaneously. Navigate on the site above and you'll find tips on how to deposit and withdraw. Hope this helps.
