If you were chatting with someone online and really getting to know them....?

and you feel like this is the one for you. The two of you talk about everything. Money, politics, sex, you name it, the two of your have talked about it. You even did a little cybering while you were at it. Then you two deceide to meet in person. You set up the date. You are really excited. You get all dolled up and make your way to the mutual meeting place. When you get there, you discover that the person you have been chatting with is: Your father Your brother Your uncle Your cousin, etc. What do you do How would you handle it Personally, I would stick a red hot poker up my nose to burn away the images of from my brain. And, I don't want to hear any "eww sicko with your fatherblah blah blah" kinda BS. This is purely a hypothetical question. Thanks Things to remember: Not everyone uses their real name, address, phone numbers, email, etconline. I most certainly don't. There are ways to cyber without cams. Imagine what it was like 10 yrs agono cams.

K well if it was a girl family relative of mine, I would just go in the place and see them there act like I just stopped to get a cup of*watever they sell there*(acting casual ofcourse) and ask them what they're doing here

I don't think it would ever happen, cause if your as close as you say you are, you'd know the name, and that would raise a red flag. AND if you cybered like you said you have, obviously you'd need a web cam for that, and you'd know who you are doing it with. . .

Dear Oberon, Well, I do not know it's really a hypothetical question because you must have asked a lot of questions (name , age, general adress) and probably he would have lied all the way So he was never the man I fell for it is a good thing I do not have brothers. (Was it BS all those things that I wrote back there? :-s) Good bye

Honestly of course I would be embarrassed and I am sure they would to. Being around that person would be awkward.

My father haven't got a computer, and doesn't know how to use one either! My brothers are married and I definitively don't do married guys! I'd do some of my cousins it's not like we are having kids anyway. Why wouldn't I ask for a picture before meeting someone again?

Did you ever see that scene in "Rush Hour 2" where Jackie Chan has a grenade taped in his mouth? I'd do that.

You say awesome! Now you have an ally in the family and they don't have to hide themselves either. Now you and them can live a happy life, just not together. :-)

I asked a similar question a few days ago because one user had "his" picture up, and he looked an awful lot like a family member (this is before everyone went to cartoons avatars). I think he might be just as embarrassed as I would be. If it was one of my brothers we'd just laugh. If it was my father I'd die. Dad, I had no idea

Seconded on the red hot poker. It's so disturbing that I can't even envision the hypothetical situation without getting creeped out. Both my folks are 70.
