Anyone know any good holdem books?

Posted by pokerESQ.com at: 2008-02-09 18:25:21
I'm looking to buy my second poker book. I prefer Texas Holdem. Does anyone have any good books or know of any good books to buy?

I enjoyed Super System by Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth's Texas Hold'em to very different styles of poker. Remember poker books are not definitive ways to play, just thougts from the minds of people who have won. for more info on poker you may want to try a forum like pokergob.com or 2+2.com

Read em and reap is great, it is pointed at tells, but is an excellent book. Phil Gordons box set is also an excellent inverstment (get it from amazon book store on the net), this is a 3 book set, Little Green Book, blue book and black book, devoted to Hold'em. Hope that helps.

You should learn how to play multiple games. It will improve your Hold 'em play if you understand how multiple games work. The 3 Harrington on Hold 'em books and Super System 2 are probably the best, along with The Zen of Poker, and Mike Caro's Big Book of Tells.

The Poker for Dummies series is very good. No offense.
